Keyboard Orchestra
by: Orchestronics®
Keyboard Orchestra is a full orchestra built on a keyboard using real acoustic samples and synthesizer. Expression, vibrato and dynamic range make acoustic and electronic sounds come alive with traditional orchestrations. The entire album uses the same elements. This combination takes the classical orchestra where it usually does not go. The video below demonstrates this technique used by Hans Zimmer and other film composers.
Each piece of instrumental music tells a story without words. More than melodies and refrains, classical and new classical music takes you on a journey of unexpected turns and experiences. Sometimes exhausting, but always fulfilling.

Orchestronics® officially began in 1999. But long before that, composer Joe Wiedemann was taking inspiration from greats like Hans Zimmer, Vangelis, Yanni and Kraftwerk to expand the use of electronic instruments beyond rock and EDM. Classical, new age, ambient, and film music were all calling for new sounds and instruments. Orchestronics continues to this day, challenging common genre descriptions with new styles and sounds.
